Rub Your Feet, Improve Your Health--learn theory, history and basic reflexology massage techniques, sequencing and reflex sites on the foot. Plenty of hands-on. IUPUI Reflexology Certification Program--comprehensive 200-plus hour reflexology certification program now offered in accelerated weekend seminar format beginning fall 2008. The program can be completed with as little as six-weekends classroom time. Take one of the five modules now and another later.
   This is a reflexology class that is one of the midwest's most unique--a university-based reflexology training program based upon national certification standards at a university-based reflexology school of merit. Reiki Training

   We also offer Reiki 1-3 training sessions  for those interested in being initiated into this ancient discipline for self-healing or for supporting the healing of family members, friends or pets.

   The method used at Restore Bodywork is non-traditional Reiki using the Usui Shiki Ryoho method. Restore Bodywork founder/practitioner Thomacine Haywood is a Reiki Master tracing her lineage directly to the first Reiki Grand Master Dr. Mikao Usui. 
   Reiki is Japanese for Universal Life Force Energy. Practitioners transfer energy through their hands to themselves or others in person or even at a distance. It is a subtle form of healing and may be done through clothing and without any physical contact between the practitioner and client. It is used to heal headaches, stomachaches, colds, flu, tension, anxiety and to reduce the side effects of medical treatments for serious illnesses including cancer and to speed healing with surgeries.
   During Reiki I-3 training, attunements open the physical body of the recipient so it can accept greater quantities of energy and pass it along to themselves and others.  The Reiki energy cannot be used to harm others and practitioners like those at Restore Bodywork believe the source of the healing originates with the Higher Power most in this country choose to call God. No particular religious belief is necessary to receive Reiki training or treatments as it is not a religion.
