Meets off-campus, Indianapolis, accelerated 6-weekend classroom format. Students must satisfactorily complete all five modules to earn certification. The class standards are extablished by the American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) the national certification board for reflexology. Students may enroll in individual course without enrolling in the certification program. Or students can enroll in one or more courses during Fall or Spring course schedules. They may also work toward certification with individual classes at their own pace. Required courses for certification include: Introduction to Professional Reflexology; Intermediate Professional Reflexology; Advanced Professional Reflexology; Documentation Standards and Practical Application; and Professional Reflexology Skills Assessment. Introduction to Professional Reflexology Theory, history, industry standards, benefits, contraindications, documentation protocols and instructor supervised practice in orientation, holding, sequencing and relaxation methods and American standards for zone, thumb and finger walking techniques. Learn the difference therapeutic reflexology can make for a variety of health conditions routinely encountered in a typical practice. Great stand-alone class for those wishing to learn basic professional reflexology . Required for certification.

Basic anatomy, physiology, pathology of body systems and how these are reflected on the feet; anatomy and physiology of the lower leg; anatomical references for industry specific documentation protocols; advanced sequencing methods and manipulation techniques plus condition-specific sequencing protocols. Learn auricular reflexology techniques. Required for certification. Intro to Professional Reflexology is a pre-requisite.

Advanced Professional Reflexology Covers simple, but effective marketing and business organization methods, ethics and professional standards to give students the competitive edge. Industry-specific business plan. Advanced sequencing protocols for foot reflexology and orientation, technique and methodology for working the hand. Spa techniques like hot stone or mud pack applications to expand revenue opportunities. Required for certification. Intermediate and Intro classes are prerequisites.

Documentation Standards and Practical Application Implementing and assessing national industry documentation standards established by the ARCB through documentation of 90 individual sessions using specific protocols and anatomical references. Students will learn the value of documentation standards in the successful reflexology practice. Sessions completed throughout previous three courses are included in totals for assessment. Instructor will offer advisement one-on-one and through group. Required for certification. Intro, Intermediate and Advanced classes are prerequisites.

Professional Reflexology Skills Assessment
Students expected to satisfactorily complete a written and hands-on skills assessment of reflexology theory, history, contraindications, benefits, techniques; marketing, ethics and business organization; and anatomy and physiology of body systems and anatomy reflected on the feet; recognizing typical pathology of the foot and lower leg. Assessment scheduled with instructor. Required for certification. Intro, Intermediate, Advanced, Documentation classes are prerequisites.
