Thomacine Haywood is one of about 1,000 U.S. reflexologists that have completed the rigorous academic and technical skill assessments required to become nationally accredited by the American Reflexology Certification Board. She has studied the Ingham Method of Reflexology through the International Institute of Reflexology, Florida, has tutored with a previous Reflexology Association of America Board member and earned certification through another program. She is founder of the IUPUI Reflexology Certification Program which she coordinates reflexology training, reflexology classes and the school of reflexology where she is on faculty. She divides her time between her private practice, Restore Bodywork and Holistic Services, Greenfield, and teaching/speaking reflexology classes, reflexology training and reflexology school curriculum. She teaches and lectures on holistic, wellness health topics like reflexology classes, massage classes aromatherapy and massage training at sites statewide including Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Lawrence, Washington Pike and Warren township community education programs and at spas and salons in the Indianapolis area.
She is the author of Rub Your Feet:Improve Your Health, a book about do-it-yourself reflexology techniques for the lay person and contributing editor at Renew! Indiana magazine and has been published in The Indianapolis Star, AtGeist newsletter and on about.com's holistic health site.
